Summary[edit]

Description
English: Left rudder pedal of a Fairchild Cornell wing, under restoration at the Tiger Boys Aircraft Works at Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Taken with permission from Mr. Tom Dietrich.

This photo shows detail of a metal rib (green), and the interface between the metal and wood parts. All the metal parts in the photo are restored original manufacture from the 1940s, and all the wood parts are new.

The Cornell featured pushrod controls. No control cables were used. Pushrod controls could be manufactured and assembled using mass production techniques, eliminated all the rigging needed for control cables.
