Summary
[edit]DescriptionFamous "Give The Dog The Bone" painting by Terry M. Bradley..jpg |
English: "Give the dog the bone" When Bradley was serving in the trenches of World War 1, during the battle of Belleau Wood, he saw a messenger dog running through the trenches presumably running toward the German line, and thought the American soldiers called for it to stop, it did not because it could not speak English. While crossing no lands man, it found a decayed soldiers femur, ripping it from the skeleton it ran on with it in its mouth. Hence, Makarov Bradley was inspired to paint "Give the dog the bone." |
