Göttingen den 14. V. 41.


Meine liebe Mama!
Heute zu Deinem Geburtstag will ich nur dir schreiben und mir Vorstellen das ich vor Dir stehe und für alles liebe und gute Danke. Wenn ich zu Hause wäre hätte ich Dir wie immer Blumen geschenkt so geht es aber leider nicht. Aber ich glaube erst jetzt wo ich in der Ferne bin und weis was einen so eine liebe Mutter ist kann ich Dir für alles liebe und gute von ganzen Herzen danken! Du darfst nicht traurig sein an diesen Tag sondern mußt richtig stolz sein. Denn nicht jede Mutter hatt das Glück einen Sohn zu haben der heute in dieser stolzen Zeit mit der Waffe in der Hand sein Vaterland zu Verteidigen hatt. Ich werde an diesen Tag ganz besonders an Dich denken und Dein Bild anschauen und beten das Du mir noch recht lange frisch und Gesund erhalten bleibst. Ich kann ja nicht alles so schreiben wie ich innerlich fühle aber Du verstehst mich schon. Ich drücke am rechten unteren Rand einen Kuß und wenn Du diesen Brief bekommst und das selbe machst haben wir und an ddiesen Tag doch geküßt.
