Osten, d. 4.III.43.
Mein vielgeliebtes Muttl!
Heute will ich Dich wieder ganz besonders vom Herzen grüßen. Wenn dich dieser Brief erreicht wird wohl bald der Todestag unseres lieben Papa sein. Ich habe die ganze Zeit wenig ja fast garnicht von ihm geschrieben um dich nicht wieder traurig zu stimmen. Du kannst mirs aber Glauben ich habe oft und viel an ihn gedacht, letzte Nacht hatt mir auch von ihm geträumt. Ich träumte er war krank und ich kam auf Urlaub und er freute sich so, also ganz so wie es beinahe war nur daß ich eben zu spät kam. Liebe Mama ich habe nach gedacht und ich bin zur Überzeugung gekommen daß es doch villeicht besser war daß er so von seinen schweren Leiden erlöst würde. Was hätt er davon gehabt wenn er sich noch weiter herumgequält hätte. Besonder in der jetzigen Kriegszeit. wäre es sehr schwer für ihn gewesen! Wir wollen ihm immer ein liebes und treues Angedenken im Herzen behalten. Wenn Du zu ihm gehst grüße ihn von mir und zünde auch ein Lichtlein statt mir an. Kränke und [gräme Dich bitte nicht!]
