Osten, d. 18.VIII.43.
Mein überalles geliebtes Muttl!
Grüße und Küße Dich von Herzen. Bin nun bei meinen Regiment eingetroffen meine Einheit wurde an einen anderen Abschnitt eingesetzt muß nun zu einer anderen Einheit. Daher wird sich auch die Feldpostnummer ändern. Wenn ich die neue Feldp. Nr. habe schreibe ich Dir sofort. Mir geht es sonst noch ganz gut und bin gesund. Wie oft muß ich jetzt an den schönen Urlaub denken wie herrlich war es doch, es ist alles wie ein Traum. Nun bin ich schon wieder über eine Woche Weg von daheim Die Zeit vergeht doch unheimlich schnell wenn nur der Krieg auch so schnell vergehen würde! Na ein mal muß ja auch das zu Ende gehen!
Was gibt es den in meiner geliebten Wienerstadt neues? Du gehst wohl wieder fleißig arbeiten paß nur auf damit Dir nichts paßiert. Um mich mach Dir keine großen Sorgen es wird schon noch alles gut werden. Das Wetter ist hier sehr schlecht es regnet und ist saukalt. Wie ist es denn zu Hause? Kann man ins „Gänsehäufel“ gehen?! Ja schön wärs... Na einmal kommt auch diese Zeit wieder. Ich sitze nun hier in einen Erdbunker und schreibe draußen regnet es es ist 15.00 h. Zu essen habe ich genug.
