Im Felde, d. 18.IX.43.
Mein geliebtes Muttl!
Laß Dich recht vom Herzen grüßen. Post bekommen wir ja leider jetzt ganz selten aber das macht nichts weiß ja daß Du immer an mich denkst und viel schreibst. Ich war nun 5 Tage beim Troß hatte da etwas zu erledigen. Leider wurde ja mein Bataillion nun endgültig aufgelöst. Alle Leute von unseren alten Troß kommen nach vorne in den Graben. Du siehst allso nicht mir allein geht es so. Mir geht es den Verhälltnissen entsprechend gut und bin gesund. Sonst ist immer das [alte „Theater“.]
