Halberstadt, 6. V. 44.
Mein liebes Muttl!
Wieder sollte ich mit Dir schimpfen aber ich tus nicht den ich hab dich ja viel zu lieb. Darum danke ich Dir wieder vom Herzen für all die schönen und guten Sachen. Es kam alles am gleichen Tag das Päckchen, Briefpapier und der Brief. So hatt Dir mein kleiner Blumengruß gefallen. Siehst Du liebe Mamschl Du machst und gibst mir so viel u. ich kann Dir garnichts schenken. Doch wenn der Krieg vorbei ist dann wollen wir das alles nachholen. Dir fehlen doch die Marken bestimmt wieder. Das in den kleinen Flascherl ist doch Brillantim ja, weißt Du weil „Sonnenschutzemullsion“ draufsteht. Sonst geht es mir wieder wie in Zakopane erinnerst Du Dich noch, mit den Haarwasser?!
Ja mein Muttl ich werde mich schon bemühen ein liebes Mädel zur Frau zu bekommen. Sie müßte halt in allem wie Du sein! Na vorläufig habe ich ja noch Zeit.
Wie Du wohl schon gesehen hast bin ich wieder [einmal in Halberstadt.]
