Im Lazarett [Quedlinburg] d. 12. VI. 44.
Mein geliebtes Muttl!
Eben bin ich hier angekommen da soll mein erster Gruß wieder an Dich sein. Das Lazarett ist wie ich bis jetzt feststellen kann sehr schön es ist eine Stiftung. Wurde sofort in ein Zimmer eingewiesen und hatte Glück. Wir liegen hier mit 4 Mann lauter Bruchkranke. Haben Radio auf der Stube und es ist sehr nett. Meine erste Frage nach dem Essen ist sehr befriedigend ausgefallen. Habe mich auch selber davon überzeugt u. bin vollständig zufrieden. Wie ich hörte soll ich wohl am Freitag operiert werden noch ein paar Tage Frist. Nach mir aber nicht viel daraus so schlimm kann es schon nicht werden. Gester war ich noch fleißig aus schrieb auch eine [Karte.]
