Description
Italiano: Ritratto di Filippo di Piero Strozzi (1541-1583) ricoprì i piu' alti gradi nell' esercito francese, e morì in battaglie presso le isole Azzorre. Il suo corpo andò disperso, tuttavia il re di Francia fece celebrare le sue esequie con grande sfarzo in Sant' Agostino a Parigi. Il fatto che lo Strozzi sia insignito della Croce dello Spirito Santo permette di datare il dipinto dopo il 1579 anno in cui ricevette dal re di Francia la nomina di cavaliere di questo ordine.
