Description Postcard of the First Savings and Trust Bank building, located on the northeast corner of Main and Spring Streets in Colfax, Washington was originally constructed around 1910. In 1883 the First National Bank was formed. In 1905 it became the First Savings and Trust. In 1884 the 2nd National Bank was formed. In 1904 it became the Colfax National Bank. These two banks merged in 1932 under the First Savings and Trust name. In 1937 Seattle First National Bank purchased the holdings of the First Savings and Trust bank. The building was demolished in 1972 and the four columns were shortened and moved to the entrance to the Colfax cemetery. This building was replaced by the Bank of America building.
