«Флаг муниципального образования „Бурят-Янгуты“ представляет собой полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, на всю поверхность которого распространена композиция из герба муниципального образования с заменой геральдических золота и лазури соответственно жёлтым и голубым цветами».

Описание герба: «В лазоревом и зелёном выгнуто пересечённом поле поверх пересечения золотой безант, обременённый особым лазоревым знаком (светилом о трёх лучах в виде волн, бегущих в сторону, обратную ходу солнца; один из лучей обращен вправо) и сопровождаемый внизу в зелени золотым быком».
