Since the weekend and following the terror attacks near Eilat and the constant stream of rockets hitting Israel, the Home Front Command has been busy assisting the southern communities The Home Front Command training base in Zikim was established a year ago and trains the search & rescue teams of the Home Front Command. There, soldiers are trained in special infantry missions, search & rescue and aiding the community. Following the recent events the soldier's training was stopped in order to help the southern communities in various missions. A team from the Kedem battalion arrived in Be'er Sheva seven minutes after a Grad rocket hit and immediately began supporting the rescue missions.
