Description

Locality: Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Chenzhou Prefecture, Hunan Province, China (Locality at mindat.org)
This combo piece features a HUGE crystal of purple and blue fluorite anchored to a sparing matrix, with a complementing carpet of ferberite crystals wrapped around one side. The 11-cm crystal is complete except for a cleave on one side that actually appears to be a face, until you inspect it very closely and it seems to have a slighly different surface from the natural faces. A well-balanced, aesthetic and very dramatic large specimen. 18.2 x 13.8 x 8.5 cm
