Summary[edit]

Description
Nederlands: Zijaanzicht van het fort. De foto is genomen van de St. Aagtendijk ter hoogte van de stenen beer en is gericht naar het zuiden. Helemaal rechts van het fort is de front-caponnière te zien. (Fort bij Hoofddorp is het enige van de stelling die er ook een heeft.) De in beton uitgevoerde caponnière werd midden voor in de frontwal geplaatst. Hiermee ontstond een ronde uitbouw in de frontgracht die zijdelings van schietgaten werd voorzien. Aan de voorzijde beschermde een zware aarden dekking de caponnière tegen granaatvuur. Door middel van een poterne (bomvrije gang) stond de uitbouw in verbinding met het frontgebouw.
