Español: El mausoleo del general Bartolomé mitre está emplazado frente a la calle que nace un viejo portón de la entrada en la calle Junín 1720. Ejecutado con mármol, sus esculturas fueron realizadas por Eduardo Rubino nacido en Turín y representan de “La libertad”, “El deber” y “La justicia”. Hoy en su parte superior se encuentran enmarcado entre figuras aladas el nombre del prócer. Mitre fue un militar, periodista, poeta e historiador coronando su actuación como presidente de la nación unificada en el período 1862-1868. |
