Description
Português: Na imagem aparece o Forte de Santo Antônio da Barra, que se localiza na cidade de Salvador - BA, abriga o Museu Náutico da Bahia e é considerado um belo ponto turístico da capital baiana. Localiza-se próximo à Praia da Barra e da Avenida Oceânica, locais em que ocorrem o famoso carnaval de Salvador, um dos maiores do mundo. Segundo o IPHAN, "a primeira fortificação existente no local foi construída entre 1583 e 1587. Reconstruída logo em seguida, entre 1591 e 1602, em forma octogonal, a fortificação não resistiu ao desembarque dos holandeses no Porto. Entre 1696 e 1702, o engº João Coutinho dá ao forte a forma atual".
