Description
Deutsch: Frankfurt, Hauptfriedhof, Grab III Gartengräber 17 Wertheimber. Bauherr der Villa Wertheimber im Gustavsgarten, Bad Homburg. Verkäufer des 64.500 qm großen Geländes an der Tannenwaldallee 50 waren die Nachkommen der Prinzessin Caroline von Hessen-Homburg, spätere Fürstin Reuß zu Greiz (1819-1872). Bauherr seines Familien-Sommersitzes war der aus fränkisch-jüdischer Großfamilie stammende, später zum Protestantismus konvertierte Frankfurter Privatbankier Julius Wertheimber (1855-1935) des Bankhauses Wertheimber & Co., Taunusanlage 15, der hier für seine Ehefrau Katharina (Ketty), seine Tochter Juliane und dem 1914 im Ersten Weltkrieg gefallenen Sohn Eugen Julius diese Villa errichten ließ. Nach der Akazien-Allee auf dem Grundstück nannte der Bauherr seine Villa Accatius. Architekt der 1900 errichteten Villa nebst Pförtnerhaus war der renomierte Frankfurter Architekt Franz van Hoven. Seine Stadtimmobilie in Frankfurt, Myliusstraße behielt er bei. Die Familiengrabstätte Wertheimber hat sich hier auf dem Frankfurter Hauptfriedhof erhalten.
