DescriptionFrantisek Pechacek Modelem.jpg |
English: František Pecháček (* 15 February 1896 Záhornice - 3 February 1944 Mauthausen concentration camp) in an undated photograph by an unknown author. As a prototype of the ideal sportsman, František Pecháček was a model for several artists in the early 1920s. The academic sculptor Emanuel Kodet created a statue of a Sokol fighter based on him, and the academic sculptor and medalist Josef Šejnost used his likeness to design the championship medal of the Czechoslovak Sokol Association. Pecháček's likeness can also be found on the St. Wenceslas jubilee ducat of Otakar Španiel. |
