Description
Deutsch: Alter Friedhof in Freiburg im Breisgau (Deutschland). 1683 eingeweiht, 1872 geschlossen, 1944 durch Bomberangriffe stark zerstört. Im Hintergrund ist der Turm der Ludwigskirche zu sehen. Die ehemals katholische, 1829 im aufgehobenen Kloster Tennenbach abgebaute und als Ludwigskirche wieder in Freiburg aufgebaute Kirche war die erste evangelische Kirche Freiburgs. Sie wurde 1944 bei einem Luftangriff zerstört. 1954 wurde die Ludwigskirche, nun beim alten Friedhof in Freiburg, durch einen Nachfolgebau des Architekten Horst Linde ersetzt.
English: Old cemetery in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany). Inaugurated in 1683, closed in 1872, badly damaged in 1944 by bomber attacks. In the background is the tower of the Ludwigskirche. The former catholic, 1829 in the abolished monastery Tennenbach break down and as Ludwigskirche again in Freiburg built church was the first protestant church of Freiburg. It was destroyed in 1944 during an air raid. In 1954, the Ludwigskirche, now at the old cemetery in Freiburg, was replaced by a successor building designed by the architect Horst Linde.
