Description
English: A French Marine Nationale Sikorsky H-34 departs the U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer USS Charles F. Adams (DDG-2) in the Mediterranean Sea, in March 1966. The destroyer had rescued Lieutenant Bernard Birot, who ejected from his Dassault Étendard IV during the NATO exercise "Fairgame IV" within visual range of Charles F. Adams. The helicopter picked up Lieutenant Birot.
Charles F. Adams was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea from 15 February to 10 July 1966.
