Summary[edit]

Description The French destroyer Vauban at Villefranche-sur-Mer during late 1938 or early 1939. The battleship Courbet appears in the left background after completing her 1937-38 refit but prior to 10 June 1939 when she joined the 3eme Division de Ligne. One of the three Duguay-Trouin-class cruisers appears in the right background.
