Deutsch: Friedrich Hölderlin(1770-1843) Ölgemälde von Hiemer. Schiller-Nationalmuseum in Marbach. Der schwäbische Dichter war 1793 bis Anfang 1795 Hauslehrer des ältesten Sohnes von Charlotte von Kalb und kam so Ende 1794 auch nach Weimar. Goethe, der ihn mehrfach bei Schiller antrifft, findet in den Gedichten, die ihm durch den Freund vor die Augen kommen, ein sanftes, in Genügsamkeit sich auflösendes Streben ausgedrückt. Die letzte Begegnung Hölderrlins mit Goethe fand im August 1797 in Frankfurt statt. |
