Summary[edit]

Description

School is OUT and I am BACK!!!  :-D

This pic was taken on an impromptu trip with flickrfriends Rich and Lisa to Big Sur. They both had never seen McWay Falls, so I pumped it up, and we decided to replace a short Uvas Creek trip with an all day Big Sur Trip. What they thought would be an hour trip turned into a several hour trip, with lots of "It's just around the corner" s from me. However, I think the "getting there" was the fun part of the trip...at least for me...maybe not so much for Rich, who was teased unmercifully by Lisa and I the whole way to the waterfall. Rich took it well though, we had lots of giggles, and he even dished some back at us.  :-)

When we got there, Rich and Lisa both were dissatisfied with the clouds, the position of the sun, the angle of their shots, their inability to get down TO the waterfall, the amount of tourists around, and even the color of the pebbles on the ground (ok...maybe not that last part).

"Thanks a LOT Dawn." "What? I don't get it. It's pretty. Ok...well, It's not MY fault! Ok...maybe it is. (More giggles.) "

But we all took some shots of the waterfall just because we were there. (I personally think we got some GOOD stuff...but what do I know?) And then we got back in the car and came back north again in hopes of finding a great beach sunset. Halfway there--FOG. Ick. We keep going & found no great sunset, but DID find Margaritaville in Capitola, and had tons of fun there from what I remember.

While at Margaritaville, I showed Rich this pic on my camera. He said, "Oh, that looks nice, I like it! Did you want the flowers to be in focus too?"

"Uh....I didn't think of that. How do you do that?"

Rich helpfully said, "Well first, you turn your camera to aperture mode, and then 胡说喷скучно blah blah изрыгайте фокус 22 岩石焦点 4 blah blah 然后 этого вы овцы вала утеса blah blah blah 您胡说神色 blah."

"Oh. Uhhh...ok. ha ha. Next time."

I swear. I think I'm apertureistically challenged. It all goes back to being bad with math. I appreciate Rich trying though. ha ha.

Overall...it was a great day...and the best part was laughing so hard I felt like I'd done a million sit-ups.  :-)

I've got a LOT of catching up to do...so bear with me. It's GREAT to be back!
