Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Fritz Schindler (1920–2016), youngest son of Hamburg's shipping company owner Julius Schindler (1878–1941). Fritz initially attended the private elementary school of Cläre Lehmann (1878–1942) located in 46 Heilwigstrasse in Hamburg-Harvestehude. Directly after he attended the reform boarding school Schule am Meer on the island of Juist in the North Sea where this picture was made in 1931. After his emigration he changed his name to Frederick Charles Schindler, but his original first name Fritz stayed as his nickname. The triangular school logo on his shirt shows SAM.
