Summary[edit]

Description
English: The interior of the historic auditorium of the Chemical Department of the Gdańsk University of Technology from 1904. The laboratory hood enabling safe presentation of various chemical experiments to the public, equipped with water and gas connections, sewage drainage and a movable glass protecting spectators against the effects of a possible explosion were hidden under a sliding board on which the lectures were written in chalk.
Polski: Wnętrze zabytkowego audytorium wydziału Chemicznego Politechniki Gdańskiej z 1904 roku. Wyciąg laboratoryjny umożliwiający bezpieczne prezentowanie rozmaitych eksperymentów chemicznych publiczności wyposażony w przyłącza wody i gazu, odprowadzenie ściekow i ruchomą szybę chroniącą widzów przed skutkami ewentualnej eksplozji były schowane pod przesuwaną tablicą, na której pisano kredą treści wykładów.
