Description
Español: Iglesia parroquial de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción - Canalejas de Peñafiel (Valladolid) - Iglesia parroquial dedicada a Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. A la izquierda pueden observarse los accesos a innumerables bodegas. Es una construcción gótica que se superpuso a una románica, y así en la portada de ingreso podemos ver dos archivoltas ligeramente apuntadas que se fechan a finales del siglo XII. Consta de dos naves y un coro alto del siglo XVI sostenido por una bóveda plana de nervios combados. Este tramo lleva bóveda gótica del XV, la nave se cubre con bóvedas de arista decoradas con yeserías barrocas y la capilla mayor con bóveda de crucería estrellada del XVI. El retablo mayor, barroco de finales del siglo XVII, está presidido por la Virgen de la Asunción. - Fotografía. Papel 118 x 87 B/N
