English: Replacing an earlier scanned photo with a better version. This is an early build B757 (l/n 14) from Mar-83 with quite a history. Originally ordered by British Airways as G-BIKE, the delivery position was sold to Air Europe and it was delivered as G-BKRM in Mar-83. It was leased to British Airways between Nov-84 & Apr-86 in full BA livery, and again from Nov-86 to Apr-87. It was leased to Air Europe's Spanish Associate, Air Europa, in Dec-87 initially with the temporary registration EC-108, becoming EC-EGI later the same month. In Oct-88 it was returned to Air Europe as G-BKRM only to be leased again to Air Europa for 3 months Jul/Oct-89 with another temporary registration of EC-321 before resuming it's registration G-BKRM with Air Europe. It was returned to the lessor in Nov-90, just a few months before Air Europe ceased ops. It was immediately leased to Air 2000 for 2 years (still as G-BKRM) before returning to the lessor in Oct-92. In Dec-92 it went on winter lease to Nationair Canada as C-GANX, returning to the lessor in May-92 as N501MH. In Jul-93 it was leased again to Air Europa as EC-451 then EC-FTL for over 4 years before returning to the lessor as N261PW in Oct-97. In Apr-98 the aircraft entered the 'Corporate Jet' market for lease to Sports teams in the USA under various names such as Paradise World 757 Inc, Star Air Tours, Magellan Aircraft Services, Sports Jet & Luxury Air LLC. In Oct-00 it was re-registered N757BJ and was operated by Pace Airlines, still in the Sports market. In Sep-07 it was re-registered again as N757SS with Southwest Sportsjet LLC operating for the 'Dallas Stars' and the 'Texas Rangers'. The aircraft was impounded at Dallas-Love Field in Aug-11 and repossessed by the lessor. After 31 years (as of Feb-14), it's still flying, as far as I'm aware.
