Rückseite: In einem Lorbeerkranz ein tetrastyler Tempel mit drei Türen und einem runden Gegenstand (clipeus/patera) im Giebel. Kommentar: Die Frage nach der Identität des dargestellten Tempels ist bislang nicht abschließend beantwortet worden. Neben Zweifeln an der Wiedergabe eines realen Tempels wurden folgende Vorschläge geäußert: Es handele sich um das gaditanische Herakleion, das Capitolium in der Neustadt (Nova urbs) von Gades, die Wiedergabe des stadtrömischen Capitolium, einen Tempel für Venus, einen Kaiserkulttempel für den lebenden Augustus oder aber einen Tempel für den vergöttlichten Caesar. Gute Gründe sprechen dafür, in dem Bauwerk einen tatsächlich zu jener Zeit existierenden und in augusteischer Zeit errichteten Tempel zu sehen. Keinesfalls wird dieser aber dem lebenden Augustus geweiht worden sein; eher einer Stadtgottheit oder tatsächlich dem Divus Iulius, der der Stadt 49 v. Chr. munizipalen Status verliehen hatte.
