Garbage collection in the vehicle-free Fes Medina

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The medieval medina of Fes, Morocco is the largest vehicle-free Arabic medina of its kind in the world. Its streets are at times just shoulder-width wide and simple municipal duties take on another other-worldly dimension. Donkeys replace trucks and cars, their garbage 'skip' made of recycled tyre rubber, everything is manually done, even the streets are swept with dried palm fronds.
