Summary
[edit]DescriptionGaziantrep Ali Nacar camii in 2004 8271.jpg |
English: From elsewhere on the web I gather: "It is not known exactly when the mosque was built, however it could have been as early as the 14th century. It is thought to have been built by a carpenter called Ali Nacar, and used to be known as the Ali Nacar mosque. " A viewer wrote me a story: "Here is the story about this great mosque. Once upon a time a carpenter wanted to build a mosque for a gratitude for God. However, he could not be sure whether his money for this mosque was clean. Thus, in order to check the properness of his money, he put his money for the mosque construction into a wood and left the wood to the small creek, Alleben, in the city. He thought providing that this wood came back to me, I would be pretty sure about the properness of the money. One day, he was working in his store, a man came with the wood and asked him to make something out of it. When Ali Nacar (Ali the Carpenter) cut the wood, he saw the money and [was] relieved at the end. " |
