Description
Deutsch: Gunting besteht aus mehreren Einzelgehöften und Häusergruppen entlang der Straße SR23 im Osten der Gemeinde Geiselhöring. Hier verlässt man in östlicher Richtung bei Pönning das tertiäre Hügelland und kommt in die breite Donauebene des Gäubodens.

Das über fünf Meter hohe Kreuz steht in der Nähe der Hausnummer 6, einige Meter südlich der Straße vor einem Zaun. Am Boden ist es an einer schweren Eisenschiene befestigt. Das Kreuz ist aus vierkantigen Balken gezimmert, die am Kreuzungspunkt genutet und verschraubt sind. Der Querbalken und ein Stück des Stipes sind mit Blech geschützt.

Über dem Kreuz befindet sich ein breiter, halbrunder Baldachin aus Blech. Die Blende ist vorne mit großen, nach unten zeigenden Tropfen und nach oben mit kleinen aus Blech geformten Knöpfen verziert. Der Scheitelpunkt ist zu einer großen stilisierten Lilie aus Blech geformt. Am braun gestrichenen Holz sind Spuren von ehemaligem Bewuchs von Kletterpflanzen, wie Efeu oder wilder Wein zu sehen. Verfärbungen im Holz und am Anstrich deuten darauf hin, dass früher möglicherweise daran eine Christusfigur, wahrscheinlich ein sogenannter Blechschnitt-Herrgott befestigt war.
