Deutsch: Portrait des preußischen Generalfeldmarschalls August Neidhardt von Gneisenau (1760–1831), hier dargestellt in der Uniform eines Generals und etwa zur Zeit des Sieges von Schlacht bei Waterloo (18. Juni 1815).
Das Gemälde misst 72,7 x 57,8 cm und besteht aus Ölfarben auf Leinwand. Es entstand wahrscheinlich 1818 in Cambrai, wo der Künstler beim Jahrestagstreffen der Alliierten anwesend war. |
