Description The former German destroyer Z 39 at Annapolis, Maryland (USA), in October 1945, with an unidentified U.S. Navy destroyer alongside and USS YP-244 in the foreground. Z 39 ran U.S. trials after the war, and was unofficially designated DD-939 by the U.S. Navy. It was turned over to France in 1947.
