Italiano: “Usciti i Turchi da Clissa, il dì ultimo marzo dell’anno 1648, passarono tra le fila delle milizie venete armate; ed occupata poscia la piazza dal Foscolo, abbattuta la Luna, vi piantò il Leone di S. Marco, e volta la moschea ad uso di cattolica chiesa, calpestate le turche insegne, che di tappeto servirono alle ginocchia de’ vincitori, resero al Dio delle vittorie dovute grazie. Fu data poscia Clissa a reggere al generale Francesco Valiero, fino a che giunse Marco Bembo, eletto provveditore dal Senato, ed il colonnello Andrea Breton, a cui fu dato il governo dell’ armi della piazza conquistata.” STORIA VENETA – 118: 1648 – IL TURCO SI ARRENDE .
