Description |
After local lobbying for improved postal and and telephone facilities, this new Post Office was opened in Moseley Square, Glenelg, in 1912 at a cost of 3000 pounds. It was described as an 'ornament to the town' and provided space for letter sorting, telegram writing, 'telephone rooms' and a switchboard staffed by 'lady operators'. (Register, 30 April 1912, p4).
