Glenelg swimming baths |

Description |
In 1875, the Glenelg Bathing Company erected swimming baths north of the jetty. They were approached by a jetty and enclosed in order to protect bathers from sharks and "other monsters of the deep". Originally for men only, a ladies section was added in 1881. Their popularity was jeopardised however by what was felt to be prohibitive charges.
