Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The BEC demi-car No.8, ordered for the branch line in 1904, is seen here on delivery, with Charles Knowles on the platform step. The lines of this boxy little 22-seater, with its prominent clerestory roof, show up well. Photographs suggest that the original truck - a set of railway waggon W-irons with a simple frame of bars to support the motors - was later replaced with a more sophisticated model.
