Description
Deutsch: Der Gedenkstein, der sich im Wickenburg-Park (Nähe Seebahnhof) befindet, erinnert an Eduard Graf Wickenburg (1866 - 1936). Wickenburg war Mitglied der Österreichischen Geografischen Gesellschaft, Offizier und bekannter Forschungsreisender, vor allem in Afrika, Asien und Südamerika. Von einer Bergtour im Höllengebirge kehrte er nicht mehr zurück. Die Leiche des Verunglückten wurde nie aufgefunden. Übersetzung aus dem Lateinischen: "Er (der Park) wird Sonne und Regengüsse aushalten."
