Summary[edit]

Description
Deutsch: Gossen Sixtar Belichtungsmesser (1960er Jahre)

English: Gossen Sixtar light meter (1960s)

On the large transparent dial, film speed is preset in ASA or DIN units. For light metering, the large knurled wheel is turned to move the round pointer over the galvanometer needle, whereby valid combinations of shutter speed and aperture are shown on the adjacent external scales as well as the exposure value in the bottom window in red.
Pressing the black button on the left mechanically shifts away a grey filter normally sitting in front of the CdS photoresistor, thus changing the (normally reduced) sensitivity to full.

The white diffusing hemisphere can be shifted in front of the CdS photoresistor for incident rather than reflected light metering.
