PARAM BHAGBAT,

              In 1986,when the whole world was overwhelmed with intense passion to celebrate the five hundred birth anniversary of SREE CHAITANYA, THE PREMABATAR, There came into fashion the "GOURANGA SAMPRADAYA"(an organisation of the followers of LORD SREE CHAITANYA) by the earnest endeavor of some devoted followers of MAHAPRAVU.They promised to celebrate the pious moment.'SITE' was selected by the side of the distinct-board-road-BALUGHATA-KUKURAHATI in the village of DALIMBACHAK(P.O. KUMARPUR,P.S- BHABANIPUR,SUB-DIV-HALDIA,DIST-PURBA MEDINIPUR).The name was given 'GOURANGADHAM'.Then they started to collect money and begging was considered the best way of it.Then came the holy moment of 'NITYANANDA TRAYODOSHI'.of 22nd feb, 1986.The festival continued for six days with the scheduled list of many programmes - recitation from the BHAGABATA, songs of kirtan religions rituals,exhibition of different perfomances of MAHAPRAVU,NAGAR PARIKRAMA and above all the MAHOTSAB ( a delicious 'Prasadam'entry to all both the rich and poor alike)

             In this way six years passed away, gradually the span of the festival has developed.With the help of the whole - hearted helping hands,close association of the countless disciples of MAHAPRAVU, five hundred members and above all by the grace of MAHAPRAVU- some amount of money has kept in the bank - account.The endeavor and inspiration of the worshipers of the GOURANGADHAM CIRCLE gradually become highly spirited.Every year NITYANANDA TRAYODOSHI comes.Members of Gouranga Sampradaya and together of thousand members celebrate the festival gorgeously.
          
             Thus there came the holy occasion of NITYANANDA TRAYODOSHI of 16th feb, 1992.The festival started but the last events of the festival MAHOTSAB could not be performed for unwanted and undue vain ,though this vain at first came to us in form of pain and sorrow, at last it changed in a new form of blessings by the mercy of MAHAPRAVU.Every devoted mind of the community started to be vibrating with desire 'GOURANGA DHAM'should be a permanent DHAMA.Then there came the final moment when the common people came into close contact with the GOURANGA- SAMPRADAYA and they felt oneness with another very deeply.As a result "GOURANGA SAMPRADAYA" was to carry out the great burden of establishing the temple,NATMANDIR and guest house also.The local people responded the call of the GOURANGA SAMPRAYA by spreading out their helping hands and donating pieces of land to the organization then the marshy land is developed into high land.At present there in the temple LORD NITYANANDA PRAVU, GOURANGA MAHAPRAVU AND RADHA-KRISHNA-- These bigrahas are being worshiped daily with pompously . People from distance places comes to visit BIGRAHAS .In the mean time time 'A KIRTAN STAGE' has been made by the northern side of the the campuss.There also a construction is under process. 

             In fine , it is our earnest appeal to all kind hearted followers of lord SREE CHAITANYA to extend their helping hands to crown India into her glorious position through re-generation and saving her from narrow communal feeling following the PATHS as shown by LORD SREE CHAITANYA.

ROUTE DIRECTION:-

1. From mechada to chaitanyapur by Haldia -Mechada bus. From chaitanyapur to Gouranga Dham on the way to Balughata.

2. From Mechada to Brajlalchak via NH-41. From Brajlalchak on the way to Chaitanyapur.

3.From Diamond Harbour to Kukurahati on the way to Balughata.

Following is the program for six days festival to be held in the premises of GOURANGADHAM.

1st day:- At NITYANANDA TRAYODOSHI- Inauguration is inaugurated by a MAHARAJ of Gouriya Math."MANGAL ARATI", TULSI PARIKRAMA, ADHIBAS KIRTAN,GOUR GOBINDA LEELA.

2nd day- NAGAR PARIKRAMA, RELIGIOUS CONGREGATION,GOUR GOBINDO LEELA-- PALA KIRTAN.

3rd day - same as 2nd day program.

4th day - same as 2nd and 3rd day program.

5th day - ASTOPRAHAR - NAAM SANKIRTAN, GOUR GOBINDA LEELA,KUNJA BHANGA.

6th day - DADHIMANGAL, MAHA MAHOTSAB.

a) In the premises of gourangadham , every year 'JHULAN' is being held pompously.Many people from distance places come to visit RADHA-KRISHNA.

b) Then comes 'JANMASTAMI' festival people from distance places come to listen the KIRTAN and takes prasadas.
