Summary[edit]
DescriptionGrace Baptist Church, 46 Copnor Road, Copnor, Portsmouth (October 2017) (Front Elevation) (1).JPG | Grace Baptist Church, 46 Copnor Road, Copnor, City of Portsmouth, England. This was built in 1897 as the Bethesda Mission Hall, one of several such mission halls across the city. It was aligned with the Open Brethren movement. This was the last of the Bethesda Missions to close, in 2001, and in that year it passed to a group of Baptists from the recently closed London Road Baptist Church who did not join the rest of the congregation at the Baptist church in Powerscourt Road. It is aligned with the Grace Baptist movement. This view shows the front elevation to Copnor Road. |
