Description
Français : Tous les verres de ce vitrail sont anciens. Un morceau peint est placé à l’envers, probablement repris à une autre rosace de la même série. Les filets doubles d’encadrement faits de verre blanc non peint sont anciens, mais peut-être pas à leur emplacement d’origine. Le motif du quadrilobe, omniprésent en France dans les décors gothiques à partir de 1200, s’est ensuite répandu dans tout l’Occident chrétien. Une recherche approfondie menée par le professeur Roland Sanfaçon en 2006 a permis d’attribuer cette rosace à la France du Nord aux environs de 1250.

Français : Selon le souvenir de la donatrice Muriel Plamondon, veuve de Marius Plamondon, peintre-verrier et professeur de vitrail à l’École des beaux-arts de Québec de 1947 à 1963, ce vitrail aurait été acquis vers 1970 chez l’antiquaire Lepelletier, rue de Richelieu à Paris par son mari.
