Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Grass is used as a roofing material by the Karamojong people. It is harvested and dried up in the household compound. It’s then tied up in heaps for storage awaiting the roofing process. Grass is used to roof the Manyattas after the walls have been raised made of mud and wattle. Polls are installed outside the Manyatta to support the grass thatched roof.
