Summary

[edit]
Description The Great Lakes XB2G-1 (BuNo 9722) in flight in 1936. The XB2G-1 differed from the BG-1 in having a retractable landing gear and an enclosed bomb bay. However, it was outclassed by contemporary monoplanes like the Vought SB2U of the Northrop BT-1. Note the open bomb bay.
