Description
English: IMAGE INFO
  • View is looking north from an upper storey unit in the "River Plaza" Hotel at South Brisbane (now called "River Plaza Apartments"), across the Brisbane River towards the Central Business District. On 21 Oct 2001, a new pedestrian/cyclist bridge called the "Goodwill Bridge" was opened across the Brisbane River in the immediate foreground of this image (approximately from a few meters north of the red tugboat at left, to where the northern abutment of the Victoria Bridge ends, centre of pic).
  • The Riverside Expressway (aka Pacific Motorway) runs all the way along the foreshore, from the Captain Cook bridge (right of pic).
  • The Victoria Bridge can be seen across the river in the left background of pic.
  • The flat-roofed structure at far right of image is the Riverstage - an outdoor entertainment venue.

SOURCE INFO

  • Original 6x4 size images were captured using a SEAGULL DF-300 SLR camera, with Kodak Gold 200 ISO color film.

PROCESS INFO

  • Digitized using a Canon Canoscan 8800F scanner.
  • Panorama created by stitching 3 standard 6x4 size photos using Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE).
  • Post-processed using Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite 8.0.
