Description
English: This is Karl von Spruner’s 1865 map of Graecia, Macedonia, Thracia. Showing the whole of Greece, Macedonia, and Thracia (modern day Southeast Bulgaria, Northeast Greece, and European Turkey) the map also includes 6 smaller insets. Counter-clockwise, the insets include: Macedonia, Marathon, Plataea, Graecia, Mantinea, and Leuctra. The insets of Mantinea and Leuctra depict the important battles that took place at these locations, during the Peloponnesian War and the Post-Corinthian War conflict, respectively.
