DescriptionGreen Bar Computer Paper (6507071701).png |
English: I have a paper folding project in mind where I crumple a piece of paper in exactly the same way.
I want to do five* versions with different kinds of paper - but they have to be a recognizable type of paper that you might see on a desktop. There's blank, graph, ruled, and legal-pad but I couldn't think of a fifth type until today: I think the iconic computer printout paper would work very nicely for this purpose! My thoughts are to crumple a piece of paper (sparingly), then record the crease pattern, and then transfer the creases onto each target piece of paper, in an as repeatable process as possible. And then finally, step by step, fold each paper into to a common crumpled state. Faking the papers by printing these images on blank paper and cutting them out, I think, will add to the Geoffrey Farmer Trailer kind of vibe that I'm going for.
