Description
Deutsch: Forsthaus Willroda, Grenzstein zwischen dem Königreich Preußen und dem Herzogtum Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach

Landesgrenzstein zwischen dem Königreich Preußen
und dem Großherzogtum Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach
Der Stein markierte ursprünglich die Grenze zwischen
der preußischen Gemarkung Bechstedt-Wagd und der
weimarischen Gemarkung Schellroda. Die initiale "I"
an den Seiten deutet auf die Zugehörigkeit des anschließenden
Waldbesitzes zur ansonsten waldfreien
weimarischen Gemeinde Isseroda hin.
Exponiert stehende Grenzsteine wurden häufig auch
als Wegweiser mit entsprechenden Markierungen
genutzt, was die hier bewusst nicht entfernten Aufschriften
bezeugen.
Der Grenzstein lag an einem
Feldweg zwischen Schellroda
und Riechheim und wurde von
dort geborgen.
