Description Two U.S. Navy Grumman TBM-3R Avenger "COD" transport aircraft (BuNo 69378 (right) and 91727) from Transport Squadron 22 (VR-22) prepare for take-off from the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43), during Bureau of Aeronautics tests off the Virginia Capes, 26 January 1955. The Grumman F9F-8 Cougar fighter (BuNo 131097) at the far left was assigned to the Naval Air Test Center Patuxent River, Maryland (USA).
