Deutsch: Grundriss der Einhardsbasilika (Steinbach) Aus :de:Bild:Grundriß_Rekonstruktion_Müller.jpg: Der Grundriß zeigt die Basilika in ihrer karolingischen Gestalt. Am unteren Bildrand erkennbar das Atrium mit den danebenliegenden Vorräumen. Diese drei Räume fielen der romanischen Erweiterung von 1182 zum Opfer, an ihre Stelle traten die Türme und das romanische Westportal. Die heutige westliche Mauer von 1588 mit den erkennbaren romanischen Werkteilen erhebt sich dort, wo in der Rekonstruktionszeichnung die westliche Mauer des Atriums steht. Die ursprüngliche Westseite des Hauptschiffs (so wie hier gezeichnet) existiert nicht mehr. Die Grundmauern dieser karolingischen Räume sind heute in der Basilika wieder erkennbar. An den nördlichen Nebenchor schließt sich heute der Winterchor von 1168 an. Die Seitenschiffe wurden 1972/73 wieder aufgemauert. Es fehlt heute der südliche Nebenchor und der darunter liegende Teil der Krypta. Die gestrichelten Linien sind die Umrisse der darunter liegenden Krypta im karolingischen (und bis heute unveränderten) Zustand. Am westlichen Ende des Mittelgangs finden sich die beiden ungenutzten Arkonsolnischen für die Gebeine Einhards und seiner Frau. |
